Fujitsu Arrows waterproof tablet

Fujitsu party piece for the CES 2012 (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas was a waterproof tablet going by the name of the Fujitsu Arrow, a robust Honeycomb slate whose seamless premium plastic shell is intended to withstand water, dirt and high pressure.

Not only is it fully waterproof to a depth of five metres (!), but it also flies through cyberspace pretty snappily, thanks to a decent set of components. A dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP 4430 processor is paired with 1GB RAM and 16GB storage space.

The display is a 10.1-inch 1280 x 800 pixel screen, above which sits a 1.3MP camera, and on the rear Fujitsu have included a 5MP camera for those Jacques Cousteau moments. The Japanese LTE bands may not be compatible with North American networks but there’s scope for US network connectivity. We hear Fujitsu is working hard to secure carrier support stateside
