Microsoft adds one reason why the Xbox 360 users can not miss what's on Xbox Live interface. The software giant has just launched a new application for the Xbox 360 Dashboard that provides access to the video sharing site YouTube.

For now, the new YouTube application is available in beta format, but users can find it in the Market Place. Various upgrades and updates will continue to be made in the near future.

Reported by TG Daily, Wednesday (12/14/2011), because it is still a beta, not all videos available, including some of the content of the official content provider partners. But the streaming window and display interface has been optimized for the Xbox 360.

Slightly different from the YouTube web version, the video shown at the Xbox 360 does not have the comments field. But features like Watch Later, Favorites and Playlists are included in the new application, along with the standard functionality such as 'like / dislike'.

The most interesting, of course compatibility with Kinect. Previously Microsoft had ever mentioned his plan to Kinect not only can control the game, but also YouTube, broadcast television, Hulu Plus, Netflix and internet searches.

Microsoft Ready to Launch Xbox 360 Update

Microsoft said it is ready to launch the latest system update  for Xbox 360. In it claimed to have a lot of changes.

In the latest patch, the Xbox will have additional services such as integrated with PayPal. This feature allows gamers to buy the product at those sites, the account in it also will be incorporated in the Xbox Live users.

But unfortunately the service is not available to Xbox Live in Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Hungary, India, Japan, Russia, South Africa, South Korea and Taiwan.

In addition to shopping in addition to PayPal, the latest patch that will make the Xbox 360 also supports the new disc types, namely XGD3 which have greater capacity and better security systems. So this new format is expected to reduce piracy.

Other additions are the Auto Standby. This feature will make the console 'sleep' while the time within 1 hour if not used. This feature is certainly expected to mengemat electric power, and extend the life of the console.

Skype Will Present on the Xbox, Kinect, and WP7

News Microsoft's acquisition of  Skype  by eventually proven true. Brilliant idea for the IT giant owned by Bill Gates. Imagine hundreds of millions of Skype users market will be withdrawn in the Microsoft ecosystem and presented in it.

For information, last year have connected the 124 million Skype users each month. But 8.1 million of whom are paying customers.

As quoted from GigaOM, Wednesday (05/11/2011), Microsoft will prioritize all of its software and hardware with new features and the addition of Skype. Simultaneously, the Redmond-based company also announced the good news.

Microsoft announced plans to bring the Skype on the Xbox and Kinect, Windows Phone 7 (WP7), and several other Windows devices. Not only that Microsoft was going to integrate their community services such as: Lync, Outlook, and Messenger.

So if Skype would have 'monopolized' Microsoft? Apparently not. Microsoft gave the note will continue to invest and support for the Skype client non-Microsoft platforms.

With the acquisition valued at USD 8.5 billion (around Rp 72 trillion), the Skype business will become a new division in Microsoft. The CEO of Skype boss Tony Bates was appointed the new division with the position of President of Microsoft's Skype division, and will report directly to CEO Steve Ballmer.
