World’s Fastest Gaming Machine Unveiled

It looks as if CES has begun early – nobody wants to wait until Jan 10 to unveil the latest machines. Now MSI has released details of two new laptops. MSI is proudly announcing the release of the MSI GT783 as the world’s quickest gaming notebook. It runs the second-gen 2GHz Core-i7 quadcore CPU and sports an NVidia GTX 580M dedicated graphics card – accrding to MSI it’s the fastest in the west. System RAM is an eye-watering 32GB and the notebook features a 17.3″, 1920 x 1080p full HD display.

Storage runs to 1.5TB but apparently an SSD is optional. Presumably, the accolade of world’s fastest notebook refers to the SSD config. Blu-ray drive is optional and dual USB-3 sockets are included. The MSI GT783 delivers THX TruStudio audio for the all-important Ka-boom! Factor. The other machine unveiled by MSI is the MSI GT685, also brandishing the same 2GHz i7 processor and max 32GB RAM. This one features a 15.6″ 1920 x 1080 pixel full HD display. In fact, display size seems to be the only difference. Prices are yet to be announced. Probably a good PR…
