Those looking to grab a Nokia N9 in white are in luck. Nokia’s one and only MeeGo-powered smartphone device is now available in Finland via Verkkokauppa’s site and will cost €630, or around $842, for the 64GB variant. The price is slightly lower than the reported pre-order price last month. But somehow I can’t justify the price – it’s just too expensive considering the hardware. If you go for an Android smartphone, 629.90 EUR buys you a bigger screen and dual-core processor. Sure it’s not all about tech specs, but still – it’s not like N9 offers much more than Android devices. For one thing, there are not that many apps available for MeeGo.
While Nokia is focusing more on its Windows-powered smartphones, the Nokia N9 has been an eagerly anticipated device from the company by their loyal following. The device is packed with features such as an 8-megapixel camera, Quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE support, 1GB of RAM, and of course, all the Meego goodness much-awaited by mobile fans.
The white Nokia N9 is expected to be available to other markets before the month ends, but for those who have been itching to get one to make sure they have it for the holidays, may purchase it at the site. Verkkokauppa.com
