Samsung and HTC are huge names in the cell phone market. Both the companies produce some of the best cellphones for a large customer base. Both of them are laced with a couple of great features that can lure any buyer. Their key features are intriguing and both have similar specs, which make them tough competitors of each other in the market. So, check out their comparison to know whether HTC Rezound or Samsung Galaxy S II skyrocket wins in this challenge.



Display
HTC Rezound comes with a screen size of 4.3 inches. It has a Super LCD touch screen in 1280X720 pixels. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S II skyrocket comes with a larger screen size of 4.5 inches. It has AMOLED screen type with 800X480 pixels. The AMOLED enables this product to produce better images and texts even when it is viewed under direct sunlight, whereas Rezound’s high resolution promises crisp and sharp HD images. A tough one, but HTC's sharper images help it have an edge over the opponent.

Operating system
Certainly, both the phones do not support the latest Android Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. But, the Android Gingerbread in both phones manages to meet almost all the demands of techie, smartphone users. Both phones run on the same version of Android operating system. Their systems are less prone to crashes and offer better user interface, better gaming experience, and faster internet browsing and downloading along with better multimedia usage. HTC's product and Samsung's product have same specs in this round.

Processor
HTC Rezound has a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Samsung Galaxy S II skyrocket also supports the same processor packed in its Android device. Because of similar specs, both phones have faster snappiness and responsiveness. Working on both the phones will offer a similar experience. A faster processor also enables these phones to work better with several latest and demanding applications.

Memory
The RAM in both the phones measures 1GB. Both of the phones support 16GB of internal memory that can be easily increased to 32GB with the use of microSD card. It looks like HTC Rezound and Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket are giving each other a very tough competition.

Camera
Both phones have an 8 megapixel camera. HTC Rezound's 8 megapixel camera comes with a dual LED flash and a 28 mm wide angle lens for wider clicks. It can shoot sharp images even in low light. The video recorder can record excellent HD videos. It supports a 2 megapixel secondary camera for video calling and video chatting. Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket also facilitates 8 megapixel camera with autofocus feature which records 1080 pixel of HD video. It also comes with a 2 megapixel front facing camera for video calling. Although, both of them have similar specs in this round, but Samsung's product manages to click better and sharper images than its opponent.

User interface
HTC Rezound comes with HTC sense user interface which allows better usage. The Beats Audio Support system is an add-on. The homescreen is laced with several features that make the phone easier to use. Samsung Galaxy S II skyrocket has TouchWiz 4.0 which makes the touch screen more user-friendly. The screen is more sensitive to touch. The homescreen has several widgets that allow users to personalize their phone. Animation support is better.

Size
HTC Rezound has a candy-bar like, sleek body that measures 5.08 inch. Samsung Galaxy S II skyrocket's body is also slim and sleek, measuring just 5.11 inch. It just weighs 130 gm, while HTC's product weighs a little less

The verdict
Both the phones have similar features. When compared, they both offer similar specs and similar user experience. Therefore, it is the price that can determine which one of these offers value for money. HTC Rezound is priced for $300 for a two year contract from Verizon. On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket is priced for $250 for a two year contract from AT & T. So, Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket is a better bet if you want a good phone at considerably less price. But, if you don't mind shedding a few more bucks then HTC Rezound can also be a good buy.
