iPhone SJ Polycarbonate Phone is a Tribute to Steve Jobs

Antonio De Rosa, the man behind ADR Studio shows us his newest iPhone concept, the iPhone SJ, a tribute to Steve Jobs. This beautiful device is a futuristic vision of the way an iPhone of the future could look like. The iPhone SJ packs a capacitive touchscreen made completely of glass and a polycarbonate body for a shell.

The result is a very light phone, that features an Apple A6 dual core processor and a 10 megapixel camera, speculated specs of this concept device. Using polycarbonate for the chassis worked fine for Nokia with the N9, so why not adopt this idea for the newest iPhone as well? As you can see here we’re dealing with an edge to edge screen that looks larger than 3.5 inches, so we may be dealing with that 4+ inch Retina Display we’ve all been craving for?

An elongated home button is also present, a sign that gestures are coming, possibly in iOS 6.0. The design of the iPhone SJ is very thin, maybe thinner than the iPhone 4S, so it may even reach 7mm through the technologic advances. For me, this design combines the look of the older iPhone 3G/3GS units with the iPhone 4/4S design direction, with the result being a modern handset with a very beautiful facade and an interesting way to integrate volume buttons.

Smart Communication iPhone 4S Postpaid Plans & Pricing

In the last few hours of the official launch of the iPhone 4S in the Philippines, Smart has finally released their postpaid plans and pricing.

The 16GB iPhone 4S comes free with Smart Plan 2499. That comes with 300 minutes of calls, 300 free SMS and 1GB of data per month for Php2, 499 for 2 years.

There’s a special deferred payment plan under Smart Plan 999. This plan comes with a monthly service fee of only Php999 which includes 100 free call minutes, 40 SMS and 250MB of data. The catch is that you also need to pay a monthly amortization of Php999 for the handset.

Smart iPhone 4S Arriving on December 16, 2011 for SMART Communication Philippines - Confirmed via Facebook and Twitter!

Totally slamming malicious rumors spreading online and in the press that Smart won't be able to deliver iPhone 4S as scheduled, Smart Communications released an official statement via Twitter and Facebook a while ago confirming that the company will offer the iPhone 4S to customers in the Philippines beginning December 16, 2011 -- as promised.

"Contrary to rumors that were spread in the press and online, we shall start selling iPhone 4S as scheduled, on the 16th," said Smart Public Affairs Head Ramon R. Isberto.

Tick Tock Alarm Clock iPhone Dock from Edifier

A new style of alarm clock called Tick Tock has just been launched by Edifier, designed for Apple’s iPhone that combine old school looks with high tech features. The new Tick Tock has the shape and lines of an old tradition bell style alarm clock of the 1960′s, but rather than a tradition clock face to match, it has an iPhone sync port and dock.

Rather than bells on either side of the Tick Tock, it’s equipped with 1-1/2-inch Omni-directional stereo speakers that deliver expansive 360-degree sound from Tick Tock’s 7-watt speaker drivers.

The Tick Tock features a round LCD display located in the middle and viewable when your iPhone is not docked, and shows the time and date, along with alarm input selection.

The Tick Tock alarm will either emit an alarm tone or play music from the FM, Dock, Bluetooth or AUX input, and offers a choice of 5 alarms and a sleep functions. On the back of the Tick Tock is a 3.5mm jack to accept the output from an external audio source. The alarm, volume, track navigation, FM tuner and input selection controls are located at the top of the clock, and its now available to purchase for around $80.
