Future Runs Windows 8 ARM KL-1 Smartphone Has the Graphic Power of a PS3

Aitor Amigo sent me a very futuristic and very hot looking futuristic smartphone, the ARM KL-1, which runs Windows 8, sports some Android emulators and has the graphic power of a PS3. The device’s design reminds me of some Samsung Galaxy S III concepts, but this time with a sliding QWERTY keyboard.

This phone uses a Cortex A15 8 core 2.5GHz processor, a dual Mali-T658 GPU and it has 3 versions of storage: 160GB, 320GB or 640GB with 3GBs transfer. Its specs resemble the ones of a top notch desktop from modern day and even include as much as 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM (1600 MHz). There’s also a dual 16 megapixel camera with Full HD 3D capture and at the front we find a dual 5 megapixel 3D HD webcam. ARM KL-1 also features Dolby Digital TRUE HD 7.1 sound and it’s even able to run Windows 8 64 bit version.

On the connectivity side, we get GPS, EDGE, HSDPA, WiFi, DLNA, WiMAX, Bluetooth 3.0, microUSB 3.0 and a 5.1 inch AMOLED full HD Screen with a 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution. The battery of this futuristic smartphone is an Ion-Lithium carbon nano tube unit (9600 mAh), that gives you ten times the capacity of a normal battery. The device measures 7.6mm in thickness and weighs 119.80 grams. Aitor Amigo says that this ARM KL-1 phone is so good that it easily runs Crysis 2 or Starcraft and its compatible with any title on any platform out there.

Nokia Style Runs Windows Phone Tango, Sports Dual Core CPU

The Nokia Style concept is a device based on Windows Phone Tango and its specs include a 12 megapixel camera and the design features you can see pictured below. It reminds me a bit of the HTC HD7 combined with an iPhone 4 and that facade with the capacitive buttons doesn’t look that realistic.

Nokia Style features a 1.2 GHz dual core processor, a 32GB internal memory, a 2400 mAh battery and a 2 megapixel camera at the front, but other than that I have no idea what features this model has. I guess that it also supports LTE, NFC and maybe 1080p video capture, courtesy of that potent camera. With recent rumors that Nokia is preparing a Lumia 910 model with 12MP, I’d say that it would have similar specs to this unit, maybe apart from the Windows Phone Tango part…
I would have liked to see the back side of this model, as I have a feeling that it looks very much like the one of a HTC smartphone. wp7__fan, the designer of the Nokia Style mentions that his concept sports a metallic unibody case.

Fujitsu Laptop Concept Is Also a Camera, a Phone, a Tablet

Prashant Chandra proposes to us a concept for a Fujitsu laptop, which integrates a handset, a camera and a tablet. This Lifebook device is basically a laptop, which uses a camera that can detach itself from the basic gadget, as can do the slate and the handset. The slate is actually the virtual keyboard that can be integrated via pins (16 pin connector).

The Fujitsu laptop concept doesn’t have its own keypad, so it relies on the tablet for this purpose. The tablet, once inserted into the laptop it displays a QWERTY keyboard and can probably be used as a secondary display and maybe as a larger touchpad or maybe even a gaming control area. Hardware sharing is not an idea that has been applied with success so far and among the advances we find a single point charging for all devices and lack of wires, as everything syncs easily with each other.

The tablet can also enter sketch mode, so it can be used to draw stuff and become a useful tool for designers. The camera on this Lifebook device looks particularly cool and the entire laptop also seems to have a variety of ports, it supports WiFi, Bluetooth and most likely has an Intel Core iX CPU inside, if I were to guess. The display diagonal should be around 13 to 16 inches.

Intel Nikiski Transparent Laptop Concept & Sliding Ultrabook

At Intel’s CES press event this morning, they showed off a very interesting Ultrabook prototype called Nikiski. The Nikiski has a unique design featuring a clear glass touchpad that takes up the space underneath the keyboard which is usually reserved for your palm rest.

The touchpad acts like any regular touchpad, but it has the ability to detect when your wrists or palms are resting on the touchpad, palm rejection kicks in so the cursor isn’t moved accidentally. But that’s not the impressive part of the Nikiski prototype. When the Nikiski is closed, the transparent touchpad allows the user to see and interact with information on their computer. This is called the Nikiski Reveal mode

Users can swipe through calendar info, news feeds, even surf WebPages. Then when the Nikiski is opened, the computer resumes in the same context that the user was working in during Reveal mode. Nikiski is still just a concept PC but it’s now functional and Intel expects to work with partners this year to make it a reality.

Google Nexus Ultima, the First Android Jellybean Device

Note: There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.The 4th Nexus Phone comes from Bob Freking, as the Google Nexus Ultima concept shown below and the first phone with Android Jellybean on board. We’re dealing here with a premiere: the first handset made by all 4 major manufacturers from the Android world: LG, Samsung, HTC and Motorola. Android Jellybean also combines the UI features of Touchwiz, Motoblur, Sense and Optimus UI.

Each of the manufacturers supplied a component from a field they excel in: Samsung gave the Exynos CPU, LG and Samsung created the display, the camera and design were done by HTC and Motorola is responsible with the build quality and the rest of the features. Google Nexus Ultima packs a 4.7 inch RGB IPS+ HD 720p display that generates 1000 nits of brightness. There’s a 2MP camera upfront with 1080p 30 fps capture and a main 13 megapixel shooter with dual LED flash and 60 fps 1080p video capture.

The back of the handset is made of kevlar and this 2012 Nexus Phone comes with a steel frame that protects the internals of the device. The CPU of choice here is a quad core Exynos 5250 (Cortex ARM A15 MP Core and Mali GPU). There will also be an extreme edition of this handset, with a higher price, a Super AMOLED HD NOVA screen, a 20 megapixel camera and 5MP front cam, all of these protected with waterproof and bulletproof glass. Remember that this is only a concept, which measures 9mm in thickness!

New design from Samsung – Samsung Galaxy S III and Samsung Galaxy Tab Andromeda Tablet

While we wait for Samsung to give us a hint at what the Samsung Galaxy S III will be like, we take our time to have a look at a concept design. Created by Bob Freking, this device also gets a set of specs and a tablet to accompany it: Galaxy Tab Andromeda. Feel free to offer feedback to these interesting devices in the Comments section.

Samsung Galaxy S III features a 13 megapixel camera with LED flash and support for 1080p 60 fps video capture, a 4.65 inch Super AMOLED HD 1080p display and a 1.4GHz quad core Exynos processor. The device is a mere 6.8mm thin, which is incredible by today’s and even 2012′s standards, considering the technology on board. There’s also a front 3.15MP camera for videocalls and with support for 1080p HD video capture. Kevlar material protects the back side, just like it did with the Motorola Droid RAZR.

Add to these specs DragonTrail fortified Glass, 2GB of RAM and a PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU and you’ve the phone of the year 2012, winning all the awards there are to get. The Galaxy Tab concept tablet is probably also a quad core item with at least a Retina Display level screen, but the designer didn’t specify anything about it, so feel free to dream.

Most Beautiful Android Ice Cream Sandwich Phone - Crescent Supernova

Jonathan De Jesus is already a regular here, with quite a bunch of concept smartphones shown to us, under the Crescent brand. This time he unveils to us the Crescent Supernova, a splendid Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich phone with a 4.8 inch height and 4.6 inch Super AMOLED HD display. This one is a 1080p screen, so it’s a big evolution even compared to the likes of the Galaxy Nexus.

The Crescent Supernova comes with an 18 megapixel camera, a 1GHz Snapdragon S3 processor (dual core) and 600 MB of memory. There’s also 100GB of internal storage, the latest in Bluetooth technology and everything works wirelessly, including charging, headphones and transfer/syncing (done via WiFi). There’s an extra LCD display at the back, as shown below and this area is used to display battery power, switch camera view when taking pics and also show some status details of the handset’s functioning.
This seems to be a very thin and rectangular device, an unusual form factor for today’s wide smartphones. I see it as an evolved, elegant Ice Cream Sandwich device of the year 2012 and maybe something that Motorola, HTC or Samsung would make. For now the work belongs to Jonathan De Jesus, who did a wonderful job! The only thing I must mention is that I think the Power button is a bit too close to the inferior edge of the handset. Otherwise, the design is pefect! What do you think?

Nokia Tab Concept Tablet Design Features and Specifications Details

Here is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.Cameron McKinnon is a name I haven’t heard before, but also a name I’ll remember when Nokia finally launches its Windows 8 tablet. Cameron is the creator of the beautiful Nokia Tab concept tablet shown below; running Windows 8 on top of an ARM based processor. This device is inspired by the Nokia N9 phone and by the Sony Tablet S, according to the designer.

Nokia Tab uses a massive 14.3 inch display, a 12 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and Carl Zeiss lens, plus Microsoft Kinect motion capture support through a front camera. The gadget is 12mm in thickness, it has 1GB of memory, a 64GB or 128GB HDD and it will be available in WiFi or WiFi + 4G models, if it’s ever made. It also has a SD card slot, a SIM card slot, USB 3.0 and micro USB 2.0 ports and a 3.5mm audio jack. Nokia’s concept tablet runs Windows 8 ARM Edition and its design also involves ergonomic curves for comfortable holding in portrait and landscape mode.

There’s also a power button with LED light in the mix, a camera button and the screen is curved making Windows 8 gestures more natural. The screen has a slope so that it’s easier to type on it and the bulkier side makes this look a bit like the Sony Tablet S. What do you think of this unique Nokia Windows 8 tablet? Would you buy one?

HTC Sensation EX II 5.5 Inch Phone

There is a rating embedded within this post, please visit this post to rate it.HTC Sensation EX II is a HTC concept phone created by Maika Sylva, from Rotterdam, Netherlands. The designer imagined a smartphone with an incredible 5.5 inch diagonal screen, that’s actually bigger than some tablets out there such as the Dell Streak and even the Samsung Galaxy Note.
HTC Sensation EX II comes Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Sense UI, probably in version 4.0, although the designer didn’t specify that. The 5.5 inch HTC features a Super LCD qHD screen with 1200 x 675 pixel resolution, a main 10 megapixel camera with autofocus and a 2 megapixel front camera. The main cam is also capable of 1080p video recording, if you’re wondering.

Other specs of this futuristic HTC include 1GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM and a Li-Ion 1730 mAh battery. The brain of the handset is a 2GHz dual core Qualcomm processor. As far as design goes, the phone keeps the classic HTC Sensation looks, but expands the front section. You know what would be cool? Having all the front area and I mean ALL be one single huge display, with the Home, Menu, Back and Search buttons also becoming part of the screen and allowing for more video viewing space.

Tokyoflash Cobra LED watch concept

The guys over at Tokyoflash are at it again with their cool watch concepts, the latest one if the Cobra LED watch, this design was actually submitted by one of their readers. This concept watch tells you the time using two decks, one that shows the hours, while the other shows the minutes.

As you can see from the photos the watch numbers are engraved on the outside of the watch, with minutes and numbers separate by different ‘decks’.
This reptilian concept has sharp lines on the case and strap creating the appearance of scales. We like this concept as it’s really different from anything else submitted so far – quite an original theme. Numbers are engraved on each deck like a scale. You can view the time vertically or diagonally. It looks like it could leap off your wrist and strike.
You can find out more about this cool LED watch concept over at Tokyoflash. Great design! We love this one.

HTC CrampX Android 4.0 Smartphone Features Specification concept design

Do you want to meet with Big Brother of HTC Rezound? If yes then check this latest concept phone named as HTC CrampX.

After checking the images you will be get an idea that this newest concept is very much inspired from HTC Rezound and HTC Sensation XL.

This is a very thin 4.7 inch smartphone that runs Android Ice Cream Sandwich –comes with a 2GHz dual core processor, a 4.7 inch 720p HD screen and Beats Audio technology.
The Sense 3.5 interface is applied on top of Ice Cream Sandwich, although I’d dare to say that HTC Sense 4.0 is required here, since Sense 3.5 doesn’t bring much improvement, as seen on the HTC Rhyme.

The classic lock ring is available here on the screen of the device, while its upper side reminds me of the original HTC Sensation, as far as design goes.

The capacitive buttons on the bottom seem a bit too close to the edge to be comfortable, though…

The back side looks like the HTC Sensation XL and a bit like the one of the HTC Titan, if I were to make comparisons.

HTC Lion EX Smartphone Features and Specification Concept design

HTC Lion EX concept is a beautiful and very thin slate which has a unique feature that allows it to measure the temperature of its surroundings, HTC Lion EX concept a device that was found on the HTC Concepts Facebook page.

It is powered by a quad core 2.5GHz Qualcomm S4 processor, HSPA+ connectivity and a 5 inch 720p HD Gorilla Glass display. Equipped with the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Sense 4.0 on board, as well as Wi-Fi b/g/n and 60GHz connectivity NFC and two new functions, uTemperature and uSlide are also in the mix here.

Since there’s a Phone feature shown on the screen I can imagine this is the same sort of gizmo as the Galaxy Note, part phone, part tablet.
